Ezlo hubs

The new Ezlo platform offers a significant upgrade from the Vera platform, with a state-of-the-art cloud infrastructure and significantly faster hardware for an improved user experience.

Plus you’ll get local control from the mobile app, new native features, and our Ezlo VOI (Voice Orchestrated Infrastructure) feature that allows you to unify your smart home systems by including devices connected to Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant as part of a Vera scene.

This is only the start of all the new features and functionality we’re going to be adding to the platform in the coming months.

What’s different from Vera?

While these hubs offer a significant upgrade over the Vera hubs in terms of hardware, the platform structures are entirely different. Here are a couple of things to know.

  • The UI is mobile-only; there is no desktop portal for the new hubs.
  • Camera compatibility consists of the VistaCam 702, and will soon expand to include the VistaCam 1200 and the upcoming outdoor camera VistaCam 1102.
  • We will be developing plugins for the Ecobee and Honeywell Thermostats, as well as Philips Hue lights. It’s our hope that further plugins will be created by our community and made available in a new plugin marketplace.
  • If you want to move your existing devices to the new platform, you’ll need to unpair them from the old platform and add them back to your Ezlo hub.

In case you missed it before, we published a Platform Transition FAQ, which covers these topics, and more. You can find it here.
